What Teachers Can Do on FutureReady Digital

Plan, teach, assess and communicate from one place. A quick tour of the core tools for teachers.

Less admin, more teaching. Here's what you can do from your teacher dashboard.

Set up your classes

  • Class codes: learners join your class by entering your code.
  • Learner groups: group learners for targeted work.
  • Import learners: add a whole class at once from a spreadsheet.

Plan and teach

  • Course builder: create lessons with text, video and files.
  • Lesson planner: plan each week against the CAPS Annual Teaching Plan.
  • Collaborative documents: learners work on the same document together.

Assess

  • Quizzes that mark themselves, with pass marks and attempt limits.
  • Online exams with a timer, answers that save as learners work, and an integrity log.
  • Assignments: collect text or file submissions and give typed feedback.
  • SBA tasks: capture marks once. Term SBA records calculate automatically, and your HOD approves before marks are final.
Capture a mark once and it flows through to the gradebook, the term record and the report card.

Track progress

  • Gradebook: every learner's marks in one view.
  • Attendance: take registers digitally, period by period.
  • Analytics: see who hasn't started, who is falling behind and what needs marking.

Communicate

  • Announcements to your classes.
  • Parent messages and meeting requests, in one inbox.
  • Staff messages for colleagues at your school.
  • Discussion forums that you moderate.

Where to start

Create your class code, share it with your learners and set one short quiz. That's enough for week one. Your school decides which tools are switched on, so ask your platform lead if something is missing.
